Dan Dan Noodles are a Sichuan style noodle dish. Noodle Lane’s version is a twist on an old favorite. We made this beloved dish more bold with more flavors. We use egg noodles with a savory sauce and chili oil, topped with sautéed minced pork, Sichuan preserved vegetable, bean sprouts, and scallions. It’s an explosion of flavor. It's a little numbing to the tongue courtesy of Sichuan peppercorn.

Inspired by the famous Hong Kong cake lady on Mosco Street in Chinatown, New York, I sought to recreate my fondness for these cakes from my childhood while adding my own take on them. The cakes are a warm, slightly sweet snack that is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with hint of citrus. An optional dusting of powdered sugar is available for those that enjoy a little extra sweetness.
